About Us
Elegant Angel is an Adult Entertainment company devoted to high quality gonzo productions that always feature passionate and authentic sexual performances. The production studio ignited the Adult Industry in the 1990's with iconic series like Where the Girls Sweat, Buttwoman, and the revolutionary vignette series, Sodomania. Today, it continues to lead the industry in innovation and creativity with its impressive roster of directors, company owner Patrick Collins, William H., Mason, and L.T. Elegant Angel is best known for its award winning Big Wet Asses series, its female ejaculation/squirting movies, its ethnic content, and its devotion to a diverse schedule of niches suitable for every consumer. In an industry over-saturated with unoriginality and that simply regurgitates current trends, Elegant Angel is devoted to the highest standards of innovation in eroticism from realism, tease intros, and creative scenarios, to passionate hardcore sex scenes, and high quality production values. We are the studio that know what you want. Our mission statement is to never forget that the customers are in charge.
Our History
Elegant Angel began as a joint venture between Patrick Collins and Evil Angel owner, "Buttman," John Stagliano. Many of porn's greatest series followed, from "Sodomania," to "Buttwoman," to "Filthy First Timers," and "Cumback Pussy." From the company's very first movie, "Where The Girls Sweat," a sumptuously shot, girl-girl extravaganza, Elegant Angel set a standard for style, innovation, and creativity. Throughout its long and remarkable history, many of the famous, and infamous names that are now woven into the fabric of pornography's history, began plying their trade at Elegant Angel.

"It all started back in 1990," says Elegant Angel owner, Patrick Collins. "I was working for John Stagliano as the sales manager for Evil Angel. I had known John since early 1989 and had been doing sales since the summer of that year. John and I started talking about how we could get Bruce Seven to direct exclusively for us and we decided to open a new company, make it all-girl and have Bruce do the directing. John offered me the opportunity to be a partner and even loaned me some money to make it happen. It was a great opportunity for me! I was reading a French magazine and saw a word that appeared to be Sodomaniac. I thought Sodomania would be a great title for a porn series. From watching other people direct, I knew that I wanted to concentrate on one scene a day and focus on real female orgasms."

Patrick was ably assisted by his closest colleague, cameraman and video editor, Mike Cates. Together they created the series, "Sodomania" that revolutionized porn with its vignette style scenes, and psychological scenarios.

Mike explains, "While shooting & editing for John & Pat at Evil Angel, I was told that they wanted me to direct a movie for them called Sodomania. It would be my concept, my baby. At the time, I enjoyed watching "Tales of the Crypt" and I wanted to implement the intrigue of that show into a sex movie. 3 or 4 vignettes exploring the psychology behind getting to the prize. We all played the game, we all knew what we wanted, so let's shoot it. Pat & John both liked the idea so Pat & I loaded up our gear and headed for Sin City (Vegas). It was on that trip that Pat told me that he really would like to direct Sodomania himself. We could be partners on the project and he'd give me extra money to help him. Case closed!"
Elegant Angel and Evil Angel eventually ended up parting ways, and Patrick took full control of the reigns of the company. Both Patrick and Mike have fond memories of those early years at Elegant Angel. As the company was making an indelible impact on porn consumers everywhere, Patrick and Mike were having fun traveling the world, turning their fantasies into reality.

Mike reminisces, "There are a lot of fond memories, some funny, some not. Like having guns pulled on us in Bulgaria by what we thought were talent agents, or being held hostage in an apartment in Minsk, Belaruz with someone trying to break in to my flat for money. All in all Pat & I had a lot of fun, especially traveling. I remember once, after driving to Bratislava from the Czech Republic, when Pat wanted to treat me to a $10 P.O.A. It was late at night and the girl took me by the hand and started guiding me to an area in an old churchyard. I have night blindness so seeing in the dark was hard. Just as we got there she says "step down". The step turned out to be a wall 3 feet high. I fell on my knees, blood was everywhere and, to say the least, I couldn't complete what I went there for. When I got back to Pat he started laughing so hard he couldn't see straight...fond memories!"

"I really think Sodomania was our best work," Mike continues. "It gave us the opportunity to be ourselves, using our own fantasies in everything we shot. The first 10 volumes were great but our ideas started to dwindle and it slowly started to fade. Other favorites were Sleeping Booty, Botton Dweller series, Thermonuclear Sex (loosely based on Blazing Saddles) and the Buttwoman series."

During this time Elegant Angel began to rapidly evolve. "We went full circle," Patrick says. "We started out with a clear focus on being the best we could be. We got very successful financially but we and lost that focus on quality. It is extremely difficult to ensure quality and diversity at all levels when you're releasing 3-4 movies per week."

They were subsequently joined by Tom Byron, Rob Black, and Van Damage who considerably enhanced Elegant Angel's fan following and earned the company further notoriety. By 1998, Elegant Angel had become one of the biggest studios in the industry, and at the AVN Awards that year they took home a host of awards. Tom Byron, and Rob Black, especially, had infused Elegant Angel with energy, inventiveness, and a very contemporary approach to their work. Tom Byron's pure gonzo style pre-cursered much of what was to follow in porn over the following decade. as exemplified by his greatest movies for the company "Cumback Pussy 6: The All Star Poop Shute Salute. In one of the most controversial episodes in recent porn history, shortly thereafter, Rob Black, Tom Byron, and Van Damage bitterly split with Elegant Angel to begin Extreme Associates and a chapter in porn history came to a very rancorous end.

In early 2004 Elegant Angel was facing many difficult challenges. A distribution deal with Devils Films had just fallen apart. Exciting directorial prospects like the infamous Mason and the now widely heralded Jake Malone, had left the studio acrimoniously, much to the disappointment of fans. As a result of this constant upheaval, the product suffered. Elegant Angel, with the onset of DVD, and the growing online community, were behind the times, in a rapidly changing and modernizing marketplace.

In the summer of 2004 the company shut down production for two months and its core directors came together to re-strategize its future. Thomas Zupko had directed three volumes of the burgeoning hit Gonzo series, Big Wet Asses. Developing director, William H., had just received a AAAAA editor's choice from AVN for his dark and twisted vignette movie, Tails of Perversity 11. Elegant Angel owner, Patrick Collins, had just shot a female ejaculation movie featuring a new star called Cytherea. The movie (Squirtwoman) was destined to become one of the biggest hits of the year.

In 2005 squirting blossomed into one of the most popular genre's in the marketplace and series like Swallow My Squirt, Supersquirt and Flower's Squirt Shower, joined the flagship title, Squirtwoman, in the Elegant Angel repetoire of releases. A greater portion of the company's release schedule was now directed by the constantly improving William H. His outstanding camerawork, and distinctive personality began to earn him the recognition and awards that he deserved. When Thomas Zupko left Elegant Angel for Hustler in 2005, William H., proceeded to take over the mantle of the Big Wet Asses series. From volume 9 forward, featuring all star cast lists, not too dissimilar to the theme of Cumback Pussy 6, almost a decade earlier, Big Wet Asses began to emerge as the company's biggest series. It has now won the "Best Anal Themed Series" award 3 years in a row at the prestigious AVN Awards, and continues to stay at the top of all the best seller lists.

"Elegant Angel has, from its inception, always been a labor of love for me," Patrick says summing up his experiences over the years. "Like most love affairs we've had our shares of ups and downs but through it all we have been extremely fortunate to have the continued support of fans throughout the world and I'm very grateful for it." "Shooting one scene at a time rather than trying to shoot an entire movie in a day has been one of the best decisions I've made and though I have deviated from this on occasion I still believe it is the best way to create the best product. The key to good movies is the amount of time and energy you put into it. Over the past couple of years we've worked very hard to make Elegant Angel the brand that you can rely on, week in and week out, to provide entertaining movies worth every cent of your hard earned money. Our directors, William H., Mason, L.T., are the very best at their craft and I'm very proud of our recent work"

"We're continuing to do our best in every area and that's a commitment we take very seriously. Enjoy this website and its many functions. Keep letting us know your thoughts on everything we do. Thanks again for your support."
